UX Lead

WayCount

A Bluetooth hardware device, app and web platform that lets government and transport organizations count and analyze automobile and bicycle traffic affordably and at scale.

I led the product UX for WayCount: the flow from setting up a study on the counter through connecting to it in the field, ending it and uploading the data.

A key challenge was working around hardware-specific technical and security limitations. These were addressed through close collaboration with the hardware and software engineering teams to arrive at an experience that felt straightforward despite them.
