Contently

A content marketing platform that connects brands with independent journalists — from a scrappy start-up to a major player, with a brand that needed to grow up with it.

Contently was founded to give independent journalists meaningful work and publishers a reliable source of talent and content. As it moved from start-up to a major player in the industry, its brand image needed to reflect that sophistication.

I redesigned the corporate identity — refining rather than replacing the wordmark, so it kept its equity while losing its rough edges — and gave the Contently Quarterly, its printed trade magazine, a new format and editorial design that turned it into a showcase for the company’s thought leadership.
